The Shannon Dolphin Festival was an annual event held in Kilrush, Co. Clare in the early 2000's and ceased about 2003.
The website http://www.shannondolphinfestival.com was acquired on 9th July, 2004 by Charles W. Glynn, Kilrush Internet Bureau, The Monastery, Frances Street, Kilrush, Co. Clare, Ireland.
The Shannon estuary is home to the only known resident group of bottlenose dolphins in Ireland and one of the best places in Europe to see dolphins.
The website acts as a free Signpost to dolphin related activities in West Clare.
